The “NoGoFallMaga Confam Am Again Campaign” is an initiative by the
Committee of Chief Information Security Officers of Nigerian Financial
Industry (CCISONFI), in collaboration with Cybersafe Foundation and the
Hook. This campaign is a direct response to the rapid digital evolution in
Nigeria, particularly within the financial sector, is influenced by the Central Bank of Nigeria’s financial inclusion initiatives and the global digital innovation spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The primary objective of this campaign was to bolster cybersecurity awareness among the public, aiming to significantly reduce cybercrimes and financial fraud in Nigeria. Over 12 months the campaign rolled out in four phases, combining entertainment, grassroots engagement, and mass media:
- Anthem & Radio Ads – Sponsored the viral #NoGoFallMaga song in Pidgin and Hausa, aired nationwide.
- Comedy & Storytelling – Produced the 3-episode Yard People cybersecurity awareness series starring Broda Shaggi, in English and 3 local languages.
- Radio Tours – Partnered with CISOs and 49 radio stations to share practical fraud prevention tips in relatable local dialects.
- Out-of-Home & Digital Media – Billboards, social media ads, PR articles, and market activations extended reach to both urban and grassroots audiences.
