The learning journey has been designed to begin with digital literacy and systematic progress from basic cybersecurity concepts to more specialised niche cybersecurity learning. Midway through the fellowship, beneficiaries will choose and focus on one of the following tracks/career paths.

DigiGirls is a training program organised by Cybersafe Foundation with the funding of the Foreign Development and Commonwealth Office. This program is set to Improve the socio-economic well-being of 2000 girls and women (15-40 years old) living in underserved communities in Nigeria, by empowering them with employable digital skills through intensive training, mentorship, internship/job placement or entrepreneurship opportunities.

During the duration of this training, you will be exposed to computing and cybersecurity fundamentals, digital entrepreneurship skills and upon choosing a desired career path, will be taken through an appropriate learning path to get hands-on skills, mentorship, and get internship/job shadowing opportunities.

Learning Modules

Cybersecurity Awareness

This training will educate you on how to protect your computer and personal information, stay safe from cybercriminals, successfully identify cyber threats and avoid falling victim.

Basic Digital Literacy

This is the first and introductory training which will equip you with the right skills needed to access information digitally.

Desired Intermediate Digital Skills:

This training will be delivered by experienced professionals, and you’ll be allowed to only pick one the following tracks/career paths: Data Analytics, Graphics Design, Intermediate UI/UX, Digital Marketing, E-commerce

Soft Skills & Entrepreneurship Skills

This part of the training will teach you everything you need to act as a professional in the workplace by equipping you with leadership, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and other skills to complement your hard skills and help them become a successful professional.

Yes, residents from all states in Nigeria can apply. However, physical training will only be available for participants in Lagos and Kaduna. Participants from other states will enjoy the virtual training option

Commencement and end date of training will be communicated later,

Physical trainings will be available only in Lagos and Kaduna while virtual training will be available for participants in other states.

The training holds four (4) hours a day, on weekdays (Mondays to Fridays) between 10am – 2pm, with the exception of National Holidays in Nigeria.

No you don’t if attending the training physically as we would provide all the necessary computing devices as well as other infrastructure required to learn. Only those attending virtually need a PC and access to the internet.

Training in Lagos will be holding in Akoka, Yaba while that of Kaduna will be holding at Kanta road. Exact venues will be communicated to successful applicants.

The DigiGirls training program is absolutely free, at zero cost.

Only DigiGirls beneficiaries who successfully complete the training and perform excellently at the year-end assessment will qualify for internship/job placement opportunities. We will also support beneficiaries who complete the training and are interested in starting up an entrepreneurship career.
